the application is damaged?

I updated Maverick to 10.9.5 and Wallpaper Wizard suddenly doesn’t work any more, it throws on launch “The application is damaged. Please download a fresh copy from our website” error message now.
I applied update from the AppStore but it doesn’t work anyway.. wth?
